Meet the Team

Tom Pedersen

Founder and President

Tom founded duXit in 2016 to focus on leader development and aligning organization and talent strategies. duXit develops leaders and top teams to take on the increasingly complex challenges of leading teams and organizations in Asia. Tom has spent nearly 40 years in Asia, developing deep expertise in a host of senior human resource positions and has also been the managing director of a US leadership advisory firm in Japan.  Tom specializes in creating aligned organizational cultures where executives, teams, and individuals can contribute their very best at work each day.  Tom was most recently the President of Global Treehouse, a membership community for Mindfulness and innovation in Aoyama, Tokyo.  Tom is also the Founder and CEO of BentoBox Innovation, a transformation methodologies company founded in 2022.

Julie Matsui

Partner

Julie has more than 25 years’ experience in training, coaching and consulting. Her areas of expertise are in Communications, Executive Coaching and Leadership, Team Effectiveness and Organizational Development. She has worked as a consultant, executive coach, facilitator and trainer in the private, corporate, governmental, educational and non-profit sectors. Her professional experience includes a 16-year career at American Express International in Tokyo, Japan where she managed the internal learning and training function, provided executive coaching/development, talent planning, high potential development, assessments, and leader and team effectiveness solutions. She has extensive experience and capabilities in program design, development and deployment of training and enterprise-wide organizational initiatives.

Kyoko Hosokawa

Kyoko has more than 20 years’ experience in training and consulting. Her areas of expertise are in facilitating, designing programs, consulting, as well as coaching in the field of Leadership, Communication, and Organizational Development.  She also has various experience as HR manager, and her rich experience in the Human Resources field as well as expertise in organizational and counseling psychology equips her with a balanced understanding of both people and business perspectives.

Fumiko Watanabe

Founder and Managing Director at BrainMaid. Professional Coach (ICF / PCC), HR consultant and Trainer, providing client services for Executive Coaching, Strategic Organizational Management, and leadership/ talent development for sustainable business success of firms and individuals.  Fumiko started her career in the fashion industry in Australia where she resided for 12 years.  Upon returning to Japan, she took up a marketing role in a leading consumer goods company and transitioned into HR leadership.  She found her passion in working with people and leaders.
